Today would have been my mother’s 70th birthday.

Today would have been my mother’s 70th birthday. Unfortunately she passed away 10 years ago. That doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate her life!

My mom was the driving force in my life when it came to music. She always supported me and kept pushing me forward, even when I wouldn’t be able to see or believe what I could achieve.

Sometimes, when I release new music, I get a bittersweet feeling. It makes me wonder what she would think or say about what I do now. Knowing that she will never hear the music that I create makes me sad. But I know deep in my heart that she would have loved it, as she loved all music that was made for dancing.

‘As’ by Stievie Wonder was one of her all time favorite songs. And it is one of the last songs she heard as I performed it for her at the hospice where she eventually died.

I think my mom was always so supportive of me developing my art because she was creative and artistic herself. Although she never got the chance to really develop her own creative talents I would still like to shine a light on one of them for her birthday.
She loved photography and the photos in this post are a few of the analog ones she took. I love these foto’s, they have a great vibe to them. That’s why I wanted to share them with you, to celebrate my mother Wilma and to put her in the spotlight as she has always done for me.

How many of you knew that this is not something they hand out to accounts just to verify that they are real, but it’s a paid service.

When I first saw it pop up in my notifications I thought I had finally made it! Give me one of those, make me look legit!
They only tell you that you ‘qualify’ for a verified mark. Once you are in the process they only reveal a few steps in that it costs €16,99 to have it (and the services that come with it).

I feel like this is extremely sneaky… what do you guys think? Also, how is this any different from what happened when Musk took over twitter?

Side note: Screw musk and anything he touches. That guy is weird, not to be trusted and generally a terrible human being.

I can’t believe that my track ‘You Don’t’ climbed its way to number four in the garage charts on @traxsource in just a few days! A big thanks from me to all who supported this track and my EP. 🙏

My man @youngpulse was one of the first to play this track before the release. We tested it at @paak.vinyl and it worked like a charm! 👌

Had a great Saturday while playing at @hotelarena for @itsboogiehouse and @_jaguarhouse_ .

Such a cool spot with an amazing old chapel ⛪️. I was surprised by the sound inside. You would say that there would be excessive amounts of reverb, but for a room like that with a high ceiling it sounded great 👌.

3, 2, 1… and we have lift off! 🚀

Today we, the 🪩 Mystic Freaks 🔮, are releasing our first ever EP ‘Blast Off’ on @frappe.label and with that are launching our project into the stratosphere! 🪐

@jamiethreetwosix , @youngpulse and I have been carefully working on this project for about two years now. Finally we can share this first fruit of our labor with all of you!

Blast Off is a 3 track EP that showcases a little bit of everything the three of us have to offer. Strong disco and p-funk influenced stompers with crazy synths, delicate pianos and a heavy but organic rhythm section. Check out the previews in this post and grab one of those tasty records before they sell out! And believe me, they will!

What a great time I had! Living on pure bliss and adrenaline finally took its toll on Monday though. I’m going to take it easy this week to get this flu under control!

I don’t regret anything! From spending time with my guys @youngpulse and @jamiethreetwosix at @glitterboxibiza to playing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Thanks for all the invitations: @neamusicinside @_jaguarhouse_ @menura_audio and @wickedjazz & @fluid_funk 🙏.

One of the definite highlights was seeing my hero @kerrichandler for the first time 😮. I even had the chance and pleasure to hand him a copy of our new Mystic Freaks EP ‘Blast Off’ that will be released this week on @frappe.label 🙌

It seems like every year this experience is just getting better and better and I cherish every moment. See you all next year or coming Saturday at @hotelarena 😉.
